Absolutely, Tamarindo is a convenient travel hub for visiting the beaches and mountains of Costa Rica - like the mountains of the Arenal Volcano, Rincon del Vieja and other beaches.

The maximum occupancy is 6-people, as each suite has 2-bedrooms and a fold-out sofa in the living room.

No, however there are many restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance. A favorite is Kahiki's Restaurant which is only 40 yards away. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have three TV screens for cable news and sporting events.

Parking is free and there are no Resort Fees.

International Airports
There are two international arrival airports in Costa Rica. The most convenient one for the Tamarindo area is the airport in Liberia (LIR); it's only an hour's drive time away. The other is San Jose (SJO) which is a 5-hours drive. Regardless, if you fly into Liberia or San Jose, we can arrange for your shuttle pickup or car rental.

Tamarindo's Own National Airport
Tamarindo does have its own small national only airport appropriately named the Tamarindo Airport. It's only sometimes a good option for those not wanting to travel via ground from San Jose. It's serviced by SANSA (TACA) and Nature Air. They use propeller planes that fly at about 8,000 feet. Each trip cuts travel time from the San Jose airport to Tamarindo to only 45-minutes.  Both airlines have luggage weight restrictions and charge extra for excess luggage.

We're about 100 yards away from the ocean - the length of a football field.

It's all relative! If you're from a beach town in California, you'll think Tamarindo is tiny! From one end of town to the other is only about 1.5 miles. We have maybe 800 full-time residents, no stop lights, and one stop sign.
